The electrical energy is included in the stay with a daily consumption limit, calculated according to the number of bedrooms in the property:

Surplus: In case of exceeding the included consumption, an additional charge of USD 60 will be applied for each 100 kWh over the limit, which can be proportionally divided according to actual consumption (for example, 50 kWh additional = USD 30). The charge will be managed through a request via Airbnb.

• Turn off lights, air conditioners, and appliances when leaving or when not in use.
• Set the air conditioner between 22 °C and 24 °C.

Water consumption is also included with a daily limit based on the number of bedrooms in the accommodation:

Surplus: If the included consumption is exceeded, an additional charge of USD 8 per excess m³ will be applied, also fractional (for example, 0.5 additional m³ = USD 4). The charge is made through Airbnb.

🔥 RADIANT ELECTRIC SLAB:

In accommodations with electric radiant slab, it is important to know that its use is not included within the electrical consumption covered in the stay.

⭕️ Why is it not included?

Radiant slab is one of the most comfortable heating systems, but also one of the most electricity-consuming, especially if used incorrectly or left on continuously.

Housing delivery:
By default, the slab is delivered deactivated at the time of check-in. If the guest wishes to enable it, they must expressly request it, and specific meter measurements will be taken before and after use to calculate the exact additional cost.

💰 Estimation of slab usage consumption and costs by number of bedrooms:

The following is an estimated daily consumption in moderate use and intensive use. The amounts are by way of suggestion and could vary up or down.

2 bedrooms: USD 15 to 35 / day
3 bedrooms: USD 20 to 45 / day
4 bedrooms: USD 25 to 55 / day

These amounts are added to the regular electrical consumption, which is also measured during the stay. In all cases, the charge is made through Airbnb and is previously informed to the guest.

- Use during more economical electrical consumption hours.
• If you are looking for specific heating, you can use the air conditioning (lower consumption).
• Avoid keeping the heating plate on all day or with windows open: this multiplies consumption and costs.
- Use the heating plate at a temperature between 18 °C and 24 °C. Each additional °C can exponentially affect consumption.

🛁 ABOUT HOT WATER:

In Uruguay, most homes - including this accommodation - use electric water heaters to heat water. Unlike other countries like Brazil (where electric showers are used) or Argentina (with gas boilers), hot water here is not unlimited.

The water heater functions as a heat accumulator: it stores a certain amount of water that it keeps hot using a heating element. Depending on the size of the equipment, the available hot water can be enough for:
• 1 long shower,
• 2 short showers in succession,
• or 3 short showers if done with a pause between one and another.

Once the hot water is depleted, the water heater needs approximately between 30 and 60 minutes to heat it up completely again.

✅ Recommendations: If several people shower, it is ideal to leave an interval between baths so that the water heater has time to recover the temperature. In large groups, it is important to devise a certain logistics to avoid the need to shower one after another.
