⚡️ ELECTRICAL ENERGY:

Electrical energy is included in the stay with a daily consumption limit, calculated according to the number of bedrooms in the property:

- 4 bedrooms: 30 kWh ~ USD 6 / day

Overage: In case of exceeding the included consumption, an additional charge of USD 60 per 100 kWh of excess will be applied, which may be prorated proportionally according to actual consumption (for example, 50 additional kWh = USD 30). The charge will be managed through a request via Airbnb.

Important: The apartment's heating is through air conditioning.
If used frequently, electricity consumption can be high.

• Turn off lights, air conditioners, and appliances when leaving or when not in use.
• Set the air conditioner between 22 °C and 24 °C.
• Keep doors and windows closed when using air conditioning.

📊 CONSUMPTION CONTROL:

Energy and water consumption is recorded upon arrival and departure from the accommodation. In case of excess consumption, the detailed calculation will be reported and the corresponding charge will be processed by Airbnb before check-out.

🛁 ABOUT HOT WATER:

In Uruguay, the majority of homes—including this accommodation—use electric water heaters to heat water. Unlike other countries such as Brazil (where electric showers are used) or Argentina (with gas boilers), hot water here is not unlimited.

The water heater functions as an accumulator thermos: it stores a certain amount of water that it keeps hot through a heating element. Depending on the size of the equipment, the available hot water can be enough for:
• 1 long shower,
• 2 short showers in a row,
• or 3 short showers if they are taken with a pause between one and another.

Once the hot water runs out, the water heater needs approximately 30 to 60 minutes to heat it back up completely.

✅ Recommendations: If several people shower, the ideal is to leave an interval between showers so that the water heater has time to recover its temperature. In large groups, it is important to devise some logistics to avoid the need to shower one after another.

In Uruguay, many kitchens operate with gas cylinders, since not all properties have access to piped gas connections. The kitchen in this accommodation operates using this system.
